Healthy Generations supports the Canadian Paediatric Society's advocacy program, which keeps important child and youth health issues on the political agenda. Funds raised help the CPS:
- Produce bi-yearly status reports to inform on Canadian public policy and child and youth health.
- Provide Resident Advocacy Grants.
- Promote the importance of a National Immunization Strategy to ensure that all children and youth have equitable access to all recommended vaccines.
- Promote the importance of a National Injury Prevention Strategy and advocate to Provincial/Territorial levels about the importance of safety legislation, such as mandatory bicycle helmets, ATV's and snowmobiles, booster seats, etc.
- Implement strategies to improve the health and well being of Aboriginal children and youth.
- Implement a long-term strategy to raise awareness about paediatric mental health issues, ultimately leading to improvements in access and quality of care.
