Canadian parents and caregivers need credible information to help them make informed decisions about their child or youth's health. Healthy Generations helps the Canadian Paediatric Society offer a wide range of bilingual educational resources, including:
- Caring for Kids, a website for parents and caregivers, designed as an easy reference on a wide variety of health topics.
- Your Child's Health Front & Centre, an electronic newsletter for parents that contains seasonal tips and brief summaries of new recommendations from paediatricians on raising healthy children and youth.
- Expanding the distribution of Read, Speak, Sing, a program of the Canadian Paediatric Society that aims to use encounters with paediatricians and other child health professionals to encourage parents to read to babies from birth.
- Brochures on baby and toddler care, safety and health promotion.
- A tear-off pad to help paediatricians answer parents' questions about the safety of the MMR vaccine.
Healthy Generations is currently seeking donations in support of:
- Keep Your Child Safe, a comprehensive booklet that provides parents with information on how to avoid injury so that children can safely satisfy their natural curiosity and explore their environment with a minimum risk.
